The company is family owned and operated by Joel and Paulette Weis who proudly declare that their children are also working in the business. Joel is a third generation local and business runs in his veins. His father grew up in Berserker, and his grandfather was the Manager of the Bank of New South Wales and played rugby union for Queensland.

Comunications
Weis Communications are the largest dealer of Hybrex phone systems in Rockhampton. Weis have had a distributor agreement with Hybrex for 12 years and as such a conversant with all different types of lines: Pstn, Isdn, Voip, DSL, and Shdsl.
Weis Communications also repair phone systems and the various boards are handled with procedures as static earthing.
Weis Communications techs are experienced with computer networks, IP addresses, routers and are used as remote tech support by various Southern and Northern IT companies through the country.
Weis Communications install and maintain vehicular communication devices such as UHF Radios, GPS trackers, Interactive vehicle Laptops, as well as other DC powered applications. We also have been involved in various wireless technologies for GSM dialers to various different frequency telemetry systems.
Security
Weis Communications provide solutions for all areas of security; including but not limited to the installation and maintenance of CCTV systems complete with remote access, intrusion alarms and access control.
Weis Communications owners, employees and technicians are required to pass an annual police check and finger printing as mandatory in state of QLD. This is a non-negotiable requirement for ongoing employment with Weis. We inspect our employees for the highest possible levels of integrity at every opportunity.
Electrical
Weis are Licensed Electrical Contractors. We work predominantly on electrical equipment associated with our Communications and Security projects but have the capability to perform large commercial and industrial projects; a recent case being the complete wiring and fit-out of a new Harvey Norman store in Rockhampton.
Weis have also completed and are continually contracted to perform structured cabling and fiber jobs on both small and large scale projects.
